<p>Not only have they announced the release date and track-listing for the album, but you can also stream the record in its entirety below. If that doesn&#8217;t make your day, we really don&#8217;t know what would. Fans of <strong>The National </strong>and <strong>Arcade Fire </strong>should be all over this record.</p>

<p>Following on from last weeks <strong><a title="Death From Above 1979" href="http://www.allgonepop.com/?p=6599" target="_blank">Midweek Memory</a></strong>, this time around we have the lovely and very Brazilian <strong>CSS </strong>telling us what <strong>Death From Above 1979</strong> are for.</p>
<p>Released in September 2004, this was the first single from the bands self-titled debut album <em>Cansei de Ser Sexy (literally translated as “I&#8217;ve grown tired of being sexy”)</em> though it only charted after being re-released in 2006, coming in at #39 in the UK Singles Chart, despite being an absolute tune.</p>
<p>Even though founding member <strong>Adriano Cintra</strong> departed the band in November of last year, thankfully the band have continued to be really sexy.</p>

<p>Co-written by<strong> Bixler-Zavala</strong> and <strong>Rodríguez-López</strong>, with <strong>Rodríguez-López</strong> also twiddling the production knobs, the 13-track record follows up from 2009 release <em>Octahedron </em>which peaked at <strong>#12</strong> in the US Billboard album charts.</p>
<p>Described as housing conceptual influences ranging from Superman villains, to Greek mythology, <em>Noctourniquet </em>is touted as<em> &#8216;bold&#8217;</em> yet one of <strong>The Mars Volta&#8217;s</strong> most<em> &#8216;confident and refined&#8217; </em>releases to date.</p>
<p><strong>Noctourniquet will be released via Warner Bros. Records on March 26th</strong></p>
